network -- neutron as a start point
Rui Zang, based in Beijing, China, is a software engineer in the Open Source Technology Center at Intel. His interests span the Linux Kernel, virtualization, storage, networking, and the cloud. His current focus is OpenStack Neutron. Prior to joining Intel, Rui worked at VMWare on their VSphere storage system, and before that at SUN Microsystems on the Solaris kernel. Rui is passionate both about clean simple designs and testing. For his firewall work he mastered the use of McAfee’s Evader tool to bombard his cloud instances with malware.
Rui obtained a Masters in Compute Engineering from the Chinese Academy of Sciences. In his spare time he enjoys playing with his little kid and cooking for the family vegetarian dishes.
