Aeva is a veteran open source developer and community leader with 20 years'
experience in the tech sector. They launched OpenStack's Bare Metal program in
2012, enabling performance-sensitive cloud native workloads to run securely
without a hypervisor. After serving on the OpenStack Technical Committee, they
ran the engineering arm of a cloud hosting company for two years before taking
a sabbatical.
Today, Aeva works at Microsoft as the Open Source Program Manager for the Azure
Confidential Computing team. They are also a member of the Kubernetes Code of
Conduct Committee and the Confidential Computing Consortium's Outreach
Committee, and a board member of a Seattle-area non-profit which advocates and
educates for a culture based on consent. Aeva is a lifelong student of the
Dharma, an aspiring writer, and a collector of arcane hobbies.
