Personally, I am a daily user of Open Software that has an extreme interest in community programs for over 25 years. I still get motivated and surprised by what can be achieved out of the free will of individual contributors planting their good will seed in the community.
All my professional career has been sharing two well defined roles: training delivery and computer systems installation, administration and consulting. During some periods, I also assumed manager role taking hold of small departments.
In my early career, I mainly worked as a freelance, having the chance of interacting from the inside with a lot of different companies. For over the last 15 years I switched to a more static profile developing my long term professional career within two multinational companies, enjoying the chance of interacting with a huge number of customers and colleagues all over the world.
Nowadays focused on Storage Area Networks achieving expert proficiency, and supporting others with this knowledge and expertise.
