I have been involved with OpenStack since the beginning and, for example, did the first packaging for SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES), helped build the OpenStack documentation as core member, and helped build the Kolla project as core member. I was also an openStack Ambassador for Europe for a while and helped initiate the OpenStack Day in Germany. I don't think there is one very important contribution from me. I have continuously raised the flag for OpenStack for many years.
Part of the Technical Steering Committee of the ALASCA foundation (an open source foundation from Germany). Regional lead for the DACH region of the Open Compute Project. Co-Founder of the Sovereign Cloud Stack project (a project from Germany to build the foundations for Sovereign Clouds within the Gaia-X ecosystem).
Strategic guidance, oversight, and leadership to ensure the OpenInfra's long-term sustainability, growth, and alignment with its mission.
Make sure that companies that use OpenStack as the basis for their clouds finally all actively contribute to its development in all areas and give something substantial back. We could be so much further ahead today if everyone would play their part.
Ensure that OpenStack becomes more operational and the quality and stability in everyday life improves.
Improvement of the infrastructure provided for projects (e.g. a dedicated container registry to avoid problems with Docker Hub).
