Gerd Prüßmann is a technical leader and Director Cloud Technology & Strategy at ITConcepts Automotive GmbH. His daily business is to support big enterprises in their journey to the cloud - tackling the challenges of big organizations with open source, cloud & digital transformation. Currently he is working e.g. in enterprise hybrid cloud projects for car manufacturers with a strong scope on transformation of traditional software development & IT processes to fast-paced DevOps & Cloud Native approaches, platforms & strategies. Gerd became an Open Source and Cloud addict when OpenStack was released. Gerd led developers' teams implementing Open Source based Multi- & Hybrid Cloud enterprise production platforms since 2011 - eg for brands like Deutsche Telekom, T-System & Mirantis.
In the past Gerd provided various sessions at OpenStack Summits & Days, Secure Linux Admin Conference, Customer provided Summits and is one of the Forces behind the German "Cloud Native DACH e.V." initiative - a non-profit association providing events & training to the community.
