Swaminathan is a DMTS-Distinguished Member at Wipro. He has 21+ years of experience in Telecom R&D. He is presently leading initiatives related to Orchestration with focus on 5G and Wipro’s contributions to Open Network Automation Platform (ONAP) open source, co-leading the 5G SON and E2E Network Slicing use cases. He has contributed to innovation for several years – holds 20 granted US patents (filed 35+ patents); presented several papers at IEEE and other international conferences; led and drove many organization-level initiatives. Invited speaker/panelist in several IEEE/international conferences and events, represented Wipro in external fora on multiple occasions. He completed his B.E (Hons.) degree from BITS, Pilani and M.S from California Institute of Technology (Caltech), USA. He is a member of Wipro DMTS since 2015, IEEE member, ex-member of Alcatel-Lucent Technical Academy (ALTA) (2004-’09), member of MENSA India, ex-member of MENSA Malaysia & Belgium.
