Dan Sneddon is a Senior Principal Software Engineer with Red Hat. He is also the network architect and a core developer for OpenStack TripleO. He maintains the os-net-config utility which is used to configure bare metal networking in OpenStack TripleO and Red Hat OpenStack Platform Director. He is currently working to integrate BGP into OVN (Open Virtual Network).
Dan has nearly 30 years of experience in large-scale network design, operation, and information security. Prior to joining Red Hat, he designed the OpenStack HA and NFV architecture for Cloudscaling, and has been developing for OpenStack since the Diablo release. Before working on OpenStack, Dan held positions including Lead Network Engineer for Apple, Network Security Architect for SLAC National Accelerator Lab, and Senior Network Automation Engineer for Twitter.
