Industry analyst
As Research Vice President, Al is responsible for setting the research agenda for the Infrastructure practices, spanning servers, storage, networking and software-defined infrastructure. He regularly advises the vendor and service provider C-suite, investment bankers and enterprise CIOs on the business problems technology attempts to solve and the companies that build, use and invest in these technologies. Al also contemplates the evolving business models leveraging OpenStack.
Prior to 451 Research, Al held management positions in software development, network operations, product development and product management at AT&T, Global Crossing and Level 3 Communications. He led global teams to develop customer care applications, set cloud strategy and managed a colocation product portfolio, and he launched multiple network-based managed services for the enterprise sector.
Al is PMP-certified, and he holds a BS in Business Administration from Bryant University, as well as an MS in Management from Stevens Institute of Technology.
While offline Al likes to play a 'hybrid' of golf and hunting, coaching travel baseball and competing in fantasy football.
