ProphetStor enhances OpenStack Cinder in both connectivity and functionality and enables the OpenStack community to develop rich data services based on the open Federator API. Tightly integrated with Cinder, ProphetStor solutions allow end users to access advanced policy-based storage features directly from within Horizon.

ProphetStor’s Federator™ SDS Solutions consist of three major components:
Storage Controller: ProphetStor Federator™ is an out-of-band storage orchestrator that virtualizes a heterogeneous storage environment into a well-defined service layer. Key features include advanced storage scheduling algorithms, traffic monitoring, Traffic Modeling Module (TMM), and predictive Elastic Resource Control (ERC).
Storage Hypervisor: ProphetStor Flexvisor™ is a ZFS-based scale-out storage hypervisor that, when used in conjunction with Federator, implements ERC by dynamically adjusting the allocation of CPU, RAM, and flash resources.
Data Services: A suite of modules and extensions, based on the Federator infrastructure, that provide high-value data services such as Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (DR Prophet), data mover, and near-zero-down-time data migration.
