Green, Open, Efficient - this is the motto of Cloud&Heat Technologies, a Dresden-based provider of cloud services and cloud technologies. The company’s vision is to deliver holistic, open and sustainable solutions. It specifically focusses on developing and operating scalable open source based digital infrastructures.
Cloud&Heat also endeavors to solve the conflict between the rapidly growing demand for computing power and sustainability with the help of innovative technologies such as water-cooled servers and the reuse of server waste heat.

The company’s technology stack includes established open source software components such as OpenStack and Kubernetes, as well as emerging software tools (co)developed by Cloud&Heat such as Yaook (an OpenStack lifecycle management tool) or Krake (a tool for distributed workload management). It also contributes significantly to projects that aim at developing cloud open-source standards such as the Sovereign Cloud Stack.
