SAN FRANCISCO – Nov. 11, 2015 – Midokura, the global innovator in software network virtualization, today announced its award-winning Midokura Enterprise MidoNet (MEM) technology is being showcased at the new U.S. Quanta Cloud Technology (QCT) Cloud Solution Center, located in San Jose, Calif.

The news signifies Midokura’s continued technical and business alliance with QCT, which recently opened its U.S. headquarters in San Jose. QCT is an advanced hardware and integrated systems provider to cloud data centers worldwide, and a unit of Quanta Computer, Inc. – a Fortune Global 500 technology engineering and manufacturing company headquartered in Taiwan.

“Our customers are looking for network virtualization solutions that are already deployed in production environments,” said Mike Yang, general manager of QCT. “Midokura has accumulated an impressive amount of experience in SDN and NFV, and that experience is reflected in their Midokura Enterprise MidoNet technology. We’re very excited to demonstrate Midokura’s product in our Cloud Solution Center as we continue our work together on joint solutions for networking in OpenStack clouds.”

The new San Jose QCT Cloud Solution Center is designed to test and demonstrate cloud data center hardware, software and solutions jointly developed for specific cloud computing applications. This represents the second QCT Cloud Solution Center worldwide. The first one, which opened in Taiwan earlier this year, also showcases Midokura’s MEM technology.

“Midokura looks forward to our continued collaboration with QCT in the development and deployment of new cloud solutions, as our engineers are already using QCT’s new San Jose Cloud Solution Center for testing purposes,” said Adam Johnson, vice president of business, Midokura. “The demand for a new generation of cloud applications is growing, and working together alongside the QCT team, we plan to deliver world-beating joint solutions for our common partner ecosystem.”

Midokura’s MEM technology is gaining traction among enterprise customers across the globe. It is a scalable network virtualization solution designed for Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) clouds. Midokura also offers an open source version of the core MidoNet technology, which is quickly gaining in popularity among organizations of all sizes in more than 120 countries.
