Presentation and Demo which will show how Betfair uses Openstack and Nuage for DevOps and continuous delivery of its 200 applications to production. Betfair's exchange does 120 million transactions per day, 2.7 billion API transactions and has 1.7 million active users, all of which will be hosted on Openstack. This presentation and demo will show how Betfairs automated deployment pipelines create host aggregates in Openstack, create layer 3 subnets in Nuage mapped to Openstack, provision instances into these subnets, deploy software and then roll the instances into service on a load balancer in a zero downtime fashion in just 7 minutes.
They will learn about all the ansible modules Betfair have written for Openstack and Nuage as well as other vendors, which we will be upstreaming to support the community. They will also learn how a successful DevOps model can be implemented using Openstack and Nuage. They will be taken through the automated steps of Betfair’s pipelines showing how Openstack and Nuage integrate. They will also learn how Betfair plans to deploy its brand new Betting Exchange on Openstack with Nova and Cinder.
