State Grid Corporation of China Embraces OpenStack to Avoid Vendor Lock-In
State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) is the largest electric utility company in the world, the seventh largest company in the world according to the 2011 Fortune Global 500 ranking. SGCC used to mainly use commercial products in their IT systems, to reduce cost and avoid vendor lock-in, the open source technology has started to be adopted in SGCC recently. OpenStack is one of the practise they take to build self-controlled private cloud.
