Skydive, Real-Time Network Topology and Protocol Analyzer
SDN solutions are complex and troubleshooting/monitoring them is even harder. In this context we will present the Skydive project which simplifies ongoing operations with built-in monitoring, analytics and troubleshooting tools for live environments.

There is currently no real Open Source solution to monitor/troubleshoot live network infrastructures. There is a lack of unified tool and we will explain how the Skydive approach  fills this gap.

Skydive is an SDN-agnostic solution which can be easily deployed to troubleshoot/monitor network environments based on multiple SDN solutions:

  • OpenStack Neutron
  • OpenDayLight
  • Docker networks
  • OVN
  • ...

Skydive provides a non-intrusive way to visualize the network topology, and analyze and identify the root cause of network issues.

Skydive helps to pinpoint network issues like:

  • Offloading issues
  • Congestion
  • MTU
  • Tenant network issues
  • ...

What can I expect to learn?

There is currently no real solution in order to monitor/troubleshoot live network infrastructures. We will provide some real use cases of network issues and will explain how Skydive helps to identify them.
