OpenStack continues to grow as the de facto standard for open source Cloud platforms and private clouds in general. But how can someone quickly get started with learning this technology? This workshop will walk participants through an overview of the most deployed OpenStack components and offer practical suggestions and resources for learning OpenStack.

As part of this workshop, we will assist attendees with deploying a test OpenStack instance on their laptops using Vagrant, VirtualBox, and RDO. The relevant Vagrant file and pre-workshop instructions will be included in the final abstract if this workshop is approved. We will then walk attendees through the horizon dashboard and the OpenStack CLI to manage and use their new OpenStack instance.
