Tim joined a newly formed team within IBM in 2006. The team was tasked with developing tools that modeled and automated the deployment of enterprise applications. Tim and the IBM team spent 7 years building deployment automation tools and acquired over 20+ US patents along the way. In April of 2012, Tim advanced his career in IBM by transitioning to the UrbanCode team to enhance the offerings adding his expertise and experiences to the suite.

In January 2014, Tim accepted a role as World Wide Senior DevOps Technical Specialist, performing more client facing duties, helping IBM customers to adopt DevOps processes in enterprise environments.

Tim now travels the world engaging with different customers from different industries, to demonstrate and showcase DevOps best practices, DevOps for hybrid cloud model, and the many benefits DevOps can have on their business.

Client feedback is important for Tim. Tim is still active in software development and regularly contributes features to the UrbanCode solutions as a direct result of listening to customer's needs.

Tim is highly regarded as a thought leader and technical expert in the areas of DevOps within and outside of IBM. He is an experienced speaker at many DevOps conferences conveying his experiences designing, developing, and implementing DevOps in enterprises over the past 10 years.
