Ryan began his career with a focus on traditional data center technologies and the solutions that help keep the lights on. His initial responsibilities included system management, monitoring, and automation across compute, storage, and network disciplines for enterprise workloads.

His adventure in OpenStack started nearly three years ago as a pet project and has evolved in to his full time focus and passion.  Now, as an architect on Cerner's IaaS/OpenStack Engineering team, his responsibilities include architecting, deploying, and managing Cerner's OpenStack deployment.
