Orchestrating an OpenStack-Based IoT Smart Home

This session presents a reference architecture for building an IoT smart home based upon OpenStack. Our subject matter experts from IoT technology and back-end cloud platform will share their experiences on how to integrate an end-to-end solution from the IoT sensor to scalable cloud-based applications. In this session, we will discuss how various OpenStack components can be used to build scalable applications with back-end analytics for the IoT connected devices.

The reference architecture features open-source components such as Zephyr, Ostro, MinnowBoard Max, Cloud Foundry, OpenStack and Open Connectivity Foundation’s IoTivity for interconnectivity.

What can I expect to learn?

This session is targeted at cloud developers and architects who are interested in building an IoT use case based upon open-source components and OpenStack cloud. Attendees will gain knowledge of the fundamental building blocks.
