Event Details

The Architecture Working Group [1] has been formed to provide a positive space for design work, and a coordination mechanism for implementing design changes across OpenStack. This session has previously been held in the hallways of every single summit, with rapidly forming and dissolving teams of temporary architects that unfortunately were terrible at taking notes because they were standing in the hallways and trying to get to other sessions. With the ArchWG, we will harness that energy, and coordinate amongst each other to achieve more than just discussions. A face fo face meeting will help us to resolve any need for high bandwidth communication [2], and also help introduce those of us working on it as a primary concern to anyone who wants to contribute to the effort. This will also help us to form more personal relationships that will help make our IRC meetings and mailing list discussions more effective. This is also a chance for summit attendees to bring topics, such as the scaling one below, to the ArchWG for consideration.
