A variety of OpenStack projects have drivers. Nova has hypervisors, Cinder has different block storage implementations it supports, etc. Different projects do verification on these drivers like third-party CI testing. Today the OpenStack Foundation uses the information provided in driver log to provide deployers a list of supported drivers. Unfortunately this information is out of date for quite a few projects, and most don't really have any verification. Some is just verified as being supported because it's in tree. Some are on this list and not even an upstream driver. The session goal is to talk about the current state of driver log, who is reviewing it, and how things should be validated.
