Discussions with Glare folks made it clear that it would be absolutely pointless to drive two set of similar backend drivers, but the glance_store is really image focused. Now would be finally time to do the refactoring and work this effort together with Glare folks so that we can get full benefits from separating the glance_store in first place. We also need to make the intentions of the Glance project with respect to glance_store clear. (The glance_store code lives in the git repository right next to Glance and the python-glanceclient, but it isn't supported in the same way glance and the glanceclient are supported.)
Expected Outcomes
* A clear statement of the Glance community's attitude toward glance_store (that is, what can uses of the code expect with respect to prioritization of bugfixes and feature requests?).
* List of specific changes to be done in the refactoring (specific enough that a spec can easily be written).
