Tricricle is shrinking its scope to a project dedicated for cross Neutron networking automation, and focus on address the needs listed for the use cases: https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/Tricircle#Use_Cases. Although local network and shared vlan network is now supported in Tricircle in Newton release, compared to the capability supported by Neutron, there are still lots of works to do for example from L2 networking like shared vxlan networking to advanced services load balancing, firewall etc, it's good to retrospect the current status of Tricircle for those who are interested in cross Neutron networking automation, so that more contributors can easily jump in Tricircle development, and also get the feedback from more broad audience to prioritize the features to be implemented in the next Ocata cycle.
