Considering the increasing amount of applications running in containers, providing a reliable and efficiently operable container infrastructure is crucial, particularly at global scale. Running Kubernetes (an open source system for automatic deployment, scaling and management of containerized applications), on-top of OpenStack has proven to be popular for container management. However, one of the main challenges to date of implementing this is the missing operational link between OpenStack and Kubernetes.
In this session, we will show how Kubernetes running on OpenStack can be comfortably and effectively monitored with Monasca; the scalable, multi-tenant, high performance, fault-tolerant OpenStack ‘Monitoring as a Service’ (MONaaS) solution. We will also explore the integration steps undertaken to forward metrics and logs to the centralized OpenStack monitoring service – and explain how the collected information can be utilized in Monasca for operations like alerting and log management.
In the live demo we will send the notification to the Hipchat room. To join the room, please follow the linkhttps://www.hipchat.com/gEcgyVtXC
