Fujitsu: Artificial Intelligence Powered by OpenStack and Cloud Foundry

In a world that is rapidly becoming more digitalised, the key to enabling human-centric services - and understanding the ever more complex amount of data available from services such as the Internet of Things – increasingly relies on utilising Artificial Intelligence (AI).

In this session delivered by Fujitsu Hybrid IT CTO, Jason Daniels and Principal Researcher Roger Menday from the Fujitsu Laboratories of Europe, we will demonstrate recent machine learning innovations from the Laboratories, highlighting real life application scenarios in the areas of Handwriting, Driving and 3D object recognition.

We will also describe creating a Cloud environment which supports our AI, for example, how to deploy machine learning libraries (such as Caffe) and following an API-first approach. Using OpenStack and Cloud Foundry we will elaborate on our journey from experiments in the Labs to the Fujitsu Cloud Service K5 public cloud.

Wednesday, October 26, 3:55pm-4:35pm (1:55pm - 2:35pm UTC)
