Digital Industrialization is the continuous cycle that organizations can use to turn network and IT infrastructure from a cost into a strategic business asset.
By introducing NFV service providers can operate more efficiently and become more agile. Deployments of NFV have started and today they typically comprise established telecom applications such as virtual EPC, IMS and media functions. But this is just the beginning. NFV infrastructure (NFVi) is also a platform for many applications and services for other industries going forward. We are now preparing for what is to come with 5G and IoT.
This presentation will highlight the need for Digital Industrialization and what it takes to be successful in NFV. It will also discuss how Software-defined Infrastructure facilitates the NFV introduction and makes it both more efficient and flexible e.g. through increased utilization and multi-cloud / multi-VIM capabilities.
