Gregory Stiegler is currently responsible for delivering the AT&T Integrated Cloud (AIC) to support internal technology deployments, including business systems and network functions. In addition, his organization is delivering on the 2020 cloud support strategy, which has been branded “Tools 2020”. This includes the development and support of tools required to support AT&T’s current business system compute infrastructure and to support future cloud capabilities.
Stiegler started as an IT programmer in 1987 and has held a number of key leadership positions at Southwestern Bell, SBC, and AT&T. He has a wide range of experience in new business development, business process modeling, architecture, systems development, systems integration, end-to-end quality control, and global sourcing.
He established the first systems integration department and the first end-to-end quality control department responsible for major IT product launches at SBC, then AT&T. Early successes included the delivery of joint marketed long distance services and the delivery of SBC Yahoo! DSL. Later, Stiegler led the IT architecture, design, and requirements for U-verse bringing together multiple departments to deliver a common IP solution. U-verse is now a > $10B business as of December 2013. He also led the integration of the Mobility Network and IT test complexes to deliver LTE. Greater than 50% of AT&T’s 72.6M postpaid Mobility customers are now enjoying LTE speed as of December 2013.
Stiegler holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Central Missouri and an MBA from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. He has been married for 24 years to Lisa Stiegler and has 3 children and two grandchildren (all light up his home life). His passions include mentoring, baseball coaching, and watching his children and grandchildren play sports.
