The STFC Cloud is an OpenStack cloud operated by the UK's Science and Technology Facilities Council. It provides compute resources for STFC big science facilities (ISIS, Diamond and CLF) as well as international projects supported by STFC such as EUCLID, LSST, LIGO, LOFAR and the WLCG. It provides aroung 4000 vCPU cores to around 100 direct users supporting thousands of scientists in their research.
At the end of July we will be upgrading from Mitaka to Queens during power maintenance on our data centre. Come along to find out how it went, what new features we are taking advantage of and what we have planned for the future.
