Limited space so RSVP REQUIRED!
In this class, we'll introduce you to the basics of OpenStack-Ansible, and its merits in deploying and managing OpenStack infrastructure. You'll learn about some core OpenStack-Ansible fundamentals, then deploy your own OpenStack environment, and finally launch OpenStack resources on that environment. This is as hands-on as it gets, and you'll be going from zero to OpenStack (and upgrades!) in just one day.
The OpenStack services you will be deploying include:
- Keystone
- Glance
- Neutron
- Nova
- Cinder
- Horizon
- Heat
You will also learn how to best use OpenStack-Ansible for configuration changes, updates, and upgrades — the typical ongoing operational tasks commonly referred to as "Day 2" operations.
Prior familiarity with the basics of Ansible is a plus, but not a strict requirement.
Technical requirements: Attendees wishing to follow along with the practical exercises should bring a laptop with a web browser (Chrome/Chromium or Firefox preferred). Virtual interactive lab resources will be provided, free of charge, on City Cloud. In the event of conference Wi-Fi being unreliable, attendees are free to use their own mobile data connections at their own discretion.
