Using Rally/Tempest for change validation (OPS session)
Making changes to your OpenStack environment can lead to unpredictable problems. How can you be sure that everything works after a change?
Rally is an OpenStack testing tool, and Tempest is a set of integrration tests for OpenStack. Using these will get you a good coverage of testing, but it's not trivial to set up.
I think this topic needs some shared commiseration.
What can I expect to learn?
For operators getting automated testing working agaist your system gives both a boost in quality, more confidence in changes, and options for increasing deployment automation.
