Kolla-Kubernetes: Day 2 Operations Enable Sleep Optimization!

OpenStack is in many cases difficult to deploy, scale, manage and maintain. Kolla-Kubernetes is a community driven deliverable of the OpenStack Kolla project that delivers complete lifecycle management, often referred to as day-2 operations, of OpenStack services running on a Kubernetes underlay.

Complex tasks and deployment patterns including high availability, dynamic reconfiguration, recovery from node failure, and service migration can be performed in a production environment with confidence. In this presentation, we provide an overview of Kolla-Kubernetes and provide a demonstration of reconfiguration, upgrade, and permanently stopping a Kubernetes compute node with control node service migration.

By demonstrating the flexibility and resilience of Kolla-Kubernetes, quality of sleep for Operators planning or deploying OpenStack on Kubernetes is vastly improved.
