William Irons is an Advisory Software Engineer at IBM in the Systems and Technology group . A graduate of Michigan Technological University in 1996, William started at IBM soon after working on internal software development tools in Java and then working on the rollout of Rational inside of IBM before switching jobs to work on Cloud Software in 2008.

William has done development and testing for many cloud products at IBM including VMControl, SmartCloud Entry, PowerVC, Flexible Systems Manager and most recently the OpenPOWER Reference Design for OpenStack
