Ian works for Cisco doing network things.

The world of networking uses more and more software.  We use software to connect your mobile phones to the network, we use software to monitor the routers that form the internet, we use software to deploy, configure and change all those network components.  If we get it right, you never even know it's there.

Ian's been on this since 2012, making NFV components run and run well on clouds in many network companies around the world.  He writes network applications, SDN code that stitches the applications together, builds platforms to run applications on and designs architectures that bring those components together.
