In this presentation, Julien, Red Hat Project Team Leader for OpenStack Telemetry and Alex, Red Hat performance engineer, will follow up on their latest presentation made during the Boston summit on how the telemetry stack is now able to measure 10,000 instances easily.
First, they will recap the last experience and why they actually only were able to push the stack against 5,000 instances. Then they will explain how the telemetry architecture has been improved this last cycle to scale horizontally to this point. Then, they will demonstrate the performance tests and benchmarks that have been run to push the telemetry software beyond the scalability limits that were known until now. The results of those tests will be shared and explained to the audience. Finally, our speakers will offer their view on the progress that has been made and the possible next steps for the project.
You will discover how the OpenStack Telemetry stack has evolved during the last cycle to accommodate very large cloud and what are going to be the next steps.
