Push Infrastructure to the Edge with Hyperconverged Cloudlets

Within US Public Sector, the need for tactical field kits is abundent. This applies to disaster response, cyber response, remote computing locations, etc. The field kits need to be rugged, portable, and fully capable to run all the applications and tools that run back in the central data center. While I focus on Public Sector customers this same set of use cases applies to commercial entities as well.

During this presentation, I will demonstrate a cloudlet that our team has been utilizing to solve the same prolems as our customers. Repeatable infrastructure in a small form factor that can run the same workloads that will run in our customers data centers. We often have limited network connectivity and need a completely isolated environment to demonstrate our open source software stack.

We are working with many customers to help translate what we've done for our own solutation architects in the field to solve their field kit needs.

What can I expect to learn?

Attendees will walk away from this session with the concepts of portable, repeatable infrastructure that can be utilized to stretch computing capabilities from their central data centers out to the edge.

They will see a live demonstration of our cloudlet with a full hyperconverged stack and will learn how this is being applied to customer use cases out in the field.
