Pre-emptible instances - the way forward
With the newly proposed functionality of the 'Reaper' to handle resource exhaustion and stopped of pre-emptible instances, some functionality needs further discussion
- State of current Reaper proposal - https://gitlab.cern.ch/ttsiouts/ReaperServicePrototype
- State of Nova support for additional states
- Notification of the guests (https://review.openstack.org/552483) for per-hypervisor configuration, would it be interesting to have per-flavor overrides also?
- How to define policies for spot instance removal to create the right size hole and define the appropriate buffer of free resources
