China Unicom's edge Orchestration system in 5G to manage StarlingX, K8S and OpenStack edgeDC
This presentation is to demo China Unicom's Edge Manage and Orchestration (Edge-MANO) capability to manage 3 types of edge site based on StarlingX, K8S and pure OpenStack in 5G environment. We will show the functions from TOSCA (The de-facto edge app descriptor from carriers) package feeding, edge resource orchestration and edge app Lifecyble Management (deployment, scaling-up, scaling-down and seamless upgrading) capability. We will also introduce the back-end design in how we design MEAD(Mobile Edge Aplication Discripter) for VM-based edge application and cloud-native applicaitons, and the NFVO/VNFM collaboration for 5G PNFs/VNFs .
